It's the circle of life, just as the sun falls and rises one movies time must end. If you know that quote then you have guessed it. The re-release of Lion King in 3D has roared its way to the number one spot of the US Box Office. Yes, even though it was released in 1994 Walt Disney have trumped all records for the biggest return ever. It has racked up $30.2 million and that's at least a few weeks before it is released in UK cinemas. It has even racked up more than the Toy Story 1 & 2 re-release! Amazing stuff from a 17 year old film! (Yes you heard me, 17 years. How old do you feel now?)
In first place position in the UK, the incredible
Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy has knocked of The Inbetweeners Movie off the top spot (finally) racking in a wonderful £2.8 million whilst The Change Up came in fifth and I Don't Know How She Does It came in seventh. Finally, a great British (and Swedish) intelligent movie has knocked off a film about sex and saddo's in the sun. It's a very proud day to be British. Have a cup of tea with your fingers raised old chap!!!!
