Films To Go See This Week

Ahhh its that time again when we either want to go out and cuddle with someone under the projector heads and either be scared stiffless by some ghoulish fiend, have your heart racing by some kick ass hero or sigh as two (completely made for each other pretty) strangers fall in (obvious) love. We'll have a look.

Friends With Benefits.

You head over to any movie website and the tag line is this "trying to avoid Hollywood cliches," which is a ludicrous plot for a romantic comedy. Because, unless you have hit the nail on the original head (my space goat and sea llama love story has yet to be picked up,) its hard to not see where this movie is heading (full review up tomorrow.) Dylan and Jaime are best friends who decided that relationships are to tricky and all they are after is just sex. But will they discover there is more to their relationship than they first thought? What do you think?

With a surprising turn from Justin Timberlake (yes, he is still acting) and the mighty fine Mila Kunis (shut up Meg,) delight in this warm fuzzy comedy.

Colombiana.

But if warm and fuzzy isn't exactly what you are looking for, then Colombiana is just for you; a film that takes warm and fuzzy then kicks the shit out of them both. Fuzzy will never look the same. Colombiana tells the story of Cataleya who watched her parents be brutally murdered in front of her. Now grown up, she is a hit woman for her uncle and is wanted by the police and bad guys a like. Just watch out evil, she is going to make you pay.

Colombiana is quick paced and energetic. It stars the beautiful Zoe Saldana (Uhora and Neytiri) in action figure mode.

Jane Eyre

If you don't know about Jane Eyre, you probably did the more interesting books at school and I envy you. Whilst there are hundreds upon hundreds (well, not that many) of Jane Eyre adaptations this is the new one that follows the same plot. Staring Alice in Wonderland and Young Magneto.... Erm Sorry I mean Mia Wasikowska and Micheal Fassbender, Jane Eyre tells the story of a shy unimportant governess who soon woes over the master of the house, only to find out he is hiding a terrible secret.

With beautiful scenery and classic English refinery, Jane Eyre is possibley...for...well....take your Nan, she'll love it.

Other films out this week is horror comedy from Norway, Trollhunter and a chilling thrilling set in the Scottish highlands called A Lonely Place To Die.
