Surely by now you are getting a glimpse about how much I love my comics and superheroes. On that note, there is a battle of Marvel and DC, a war between gritty reboots and one one can rise above the other become the ultimate film franchise. The war between Batman and Spider-man (My money? Goddamn Batman.)
Since the release of The Dark Knight Rises trailer (despite the fact they haven't finished filming yet), The Amazing Spider-Man releases it's own theatrical trailer.
...........Erm is it too late to change my bet?
The new gritty film seems, from this eye opening trailer, to take the previous films, squash them into tiny little pieces, mix them with darkness and back story and then add them to a protein shake so they can bulk up and kick ass.
With a stellar cast of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard (there was a small glimpse,) I think we can all sleep soundly and forget that Spider-Man 3 ever existed.
