Film News: Nobody Puts Baby in A Remake

Ok. That'ts it. Enough is enough. I've had it with these motherf***ing remakes on this motherf***king earth. I think we should get Samuel L Jackson in to deal with it all. Of course the film in question has been rumored for a remake since 2009 and luckily it has been postponed. That's until Kenny Ortega has confirmed to pick it up. Yes folks, a Dirty Dancing remake has been pushed through and is on our way. The popular musical for those who cannot remember or have never seen it (and yes, those people do exist) stared Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze as a holiday shack resident and the sexy dance instructor who fall for each over over filthy twists and dance steps.

Despite the Footloose remake not released and producers unable to see how well 80's remakes go (and the answer would be, not that well,) there are still plans to go forward. Ortega, who choreographed the first 1987 film, says that "it feels like returning home" and that "Swayze set the bar for men dancing in films...I'm looking forward to assemble a cast to bring Dirty Dancing to a new generation."

I have a few things wrong with that sentence, mainly the new generation thing. Dirty Dancing does not need to be brought to a new generation. It is already there. If you want it to gain more fans and bus, re-release it in cinemas, show it on telly. It still has strength and gusto in it as it is a classic! It will never die!

But no, Ortega (who released the plague of High School Musical films on to us..) believes it needs a reboot despite the sequels panning. Badly.

Let's hope this whole debacle wont consider any Twilight or Disney Channel stars, I don't think my brain could cope.

It's already leaking as we speak.
